Jackhammers and Blue Dreams

Figured it was time for a new entry. There hasn't been too much excitement this past couple weeks. I helped my brother destroy his fishpond. I got to play with a Jackhammer...well, actually, three of them. The Jackhammers won.

I had a strange dream the other night. I had a dream that I went for a walk in the woods. It was warm out, but there was about a foot of freshly fallen snow on the ground. It was also nighttime, and there was no light other than what was illuminated by the moon. The most amazing thing about that dream were the colours. Just imagine a fresh snowfall at night when the sky has cleared up and the moon comes out. It makes everything blue. Not just as little blue, but there were Pthalos and Ceruleans and Cobalts and Prussians and Light blues...all in monochromatics. Now filter in the contrast of dark summer shadows and there you have it. It was intense. It ended abruptly, so the next bit isn't all that interesting.

So I went walking in these woods (barefoot, in the snow). I wasn't cold or anything in my dream. I followed this untouched path back into the heart of the woods, where I noticed a huge fire that was burning in a what looked to be a crater. It was a shallow crater that dropped in the earth about 2 feet and was covered in snow. Of course the fire complemented the intense blue scheme going on already. I could also feel the heat from the fire, and it was just a nice calm feeling. I got closer and noticed there wasn't anyone around. Suddenly I heard child like voices laughing and playing beyond the snowy crater of fire. I dropped to my belly and looked around to see if anyone had seen me. I looked up and there was a young boy, maybe about 10-12 y/o, sitting in a treefort that was about 15 feet off the ground. He had glasses and short spikey hair, and sat with his knees bent. He just smiled and shook his head ( I guess it was an assurance that I had been seen, but was welcome to stay). I sat up and smiled back at him. Then I woke up.

Yup, boring. At least it is a new post. Hopefully I'll have something more interesting next time around. The End.

That's a cool dream. Off hand, I'd say...snow, white, pure, innocence...newness...with the blues, beauty, purity. No cold, just the clean and blue beauty.
The (secret) fire, heat,, peace, welcome (see, the calm) and the child voices, then the boy...what a perfect age. Youth, just before the end of innocence, the fun, the smarts and great times of life. Where we all wanted to belong, still look for, those moments of perfect joy, when we still imagined, but knew enough to appreciate it. And he was comfortable, accepting you, so you were still apart of it all, haven't lost that young inner self, that secret belonging.

Dammn, far from boring, I love it. You were recalling. And, I think, seeing that it still is around us, but we don't see it, because it is hidden.

I think dreams are purity of mind. The subconcious is nothing but honest. Glad you wrote about that dream, I enjoyed visualizing it.
